Modsauce 2 has been quite fun thus far. My challenges so far have been to create a laboratory that creates as much material using only an endless supply of cobblestone, inside the tiniest two floors I have ever used for anything. I've packed a 7x7x7 big reactor in the corner, filled it with Graphite (too lazy to place cyrotheum) and ran insane amounts of processing on cobblestone to produce backlogs of sand, gravel, dust, and to top everything off I'm really only using the immediate processed cobble for sifting. On one hand, I can sift enough stuff where it's insane to pulverize and smelt fast enough even with top tier pulverizers and the elite smelting factory. On another, processing everything uses TOO much power. I have a control panel where I can pick and choose which materials are sieved and a cutoff button that shuts the whole factory down in one press. It's good for emergencies when the factory just stops working due to Java being dumb, or if I need to renovate in there.
When I said it uses too much power, I meant it. I'm looking into expanding my power supply with cobble generated lava from Ex Nihilo. It's also where I'm getting all my other materials from. I could likely set something up where I automatically make fuel like pyrotheum since I make the redstone and blaze powder pretty constantly... or do pure redstone power, or pure coal power. On the other hand, I think I should start sending materials I simply don't need to a device that recycled them into lava and use that to help feed the magmatic dynamos. I just don't generate enough lava from cobble alone. Though it's funny that the volcanic furnace might just.... produce lava straight from cobble, I didn't check. If it does, that might be a better route for attaining 40k RF power from magmatic dynamos. Either way I'm still generating materials I don't need that should be tossed, and I'd rather not use the trash can if I can fry them into lava.
